What it is

The Archives and Museums programme aims to energise museums and archives as platforms for dialogue and discourse by supporting scholars, practitioners, and institutions to generate new, critical and creative approaches to engage the public based on archival and museum materials. Projects are implemented in two kinds: Scholarly Projects creating content and knowledge resources, and Creative Projects supporting creative interpretation of collections.

Archives and museums in India, scholars, and practitioners collaborating with selected institutions.

What you get

A maximum of Rs 3 lakh to cover both research and final outcomes over 15 months for either scholarly projects (content creation, books, catalogues) or creative projects (exhibitions, films, workshops, public engagements).
