This program focuses on principles of good governance through presentations, workshops and classroom exercises, moving beyond Western models to embrace culturally-grounded Indigenous governance. Topics include building on traditional Indigenous structures, 'Indigenizing' corporate systems, ensuring organizational effectiveness, and exploring roles, responsibilities and performance at the board/council level. Participants will share traditional and spiritual wisdom and connect with cultural teachings guided by an Elder.
Indigenous leaders, directors, managers, elected officials, senior administrators of First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, councils and boards, and Indigenous economic and social development agency staff, aged 18 or over.
Open to artists in Canada.
