The 13th DanzaXtrema Choreography Competition supports contemporary choreographic creation across all dance disciplines and techniques. Works are assessed on originality, inventiveness, innovation and artistic risk, execution of choreographic ideas, command of choreographic and dance language, use of the performance space, and use of music. Three works are selected directly for the Final; five compete in a preliminary round on 23 October with two additional works selected for the Final on 24 October (one by jury, one by audience vote).
Choreographers of any nationality creating contemporary dance works between 10 and 15 minutes for a maximum of four performers.
Open to artists anywhere.
