The Essentials Fund provides small grants to emerging and original music creators in the UK to access tools, resources and support they have identified as key to developing their practice and career. Several open calls are held each year, supporting between 20 and 30 creators annually.

Who it is for

Music creators in the UK aged 18 or over who have lived in the UK for the last two years, are not in full or part-time education, and have not previously received an Essentials Fund grant.

What you get

A grant of £250–£450 to support composing practice through self-learning, equipment, mentoring, or other expenses directly related to music-making.
