The Helen Hamlyn Panufnik Composers' Scheme offers six early-career composers each year the opportunity to write for a symphony orchestra, develop orchestral writing skills, and have their work performed by the LSO.
Early-career composers aged 18 or above with UK residency who have never had a full orchestral work performed in concert by a professional orchestra.

Opportunity to compose a three-minute work for full symphony orchestra over twelve months with mentorship from Colin Matthews, Hannah Kendall and Christian Mason, performance by the LSO, and public workshop; two selected composers receive commissions for five- and ten-minute works premiered at the Barbican.
