The Writers' Room is a twice-monthly online gathering for playwrights and theatre creators to connect, share work, and foster solidarity during structured Zoom meetings. Sessions occur on Thursdays with three connection points throughout the day: morning check-in (10–10:30 AM EST), drop-in hours (11 AM–1 PM EST), and lunch conversation (1–2 PM EST), plus an evening check-out (4–4:15 PM EST). Once per month, ASL-accessible sessions are co-facilitated to support mixed groups of Deaf and hearing artists. The space welcomes discussions about chronic illness, chronic pain, disability, and other barriers to creative practice. Attendance is flexible: you may join check-ins only, drop-in hours only, scheduled check-ins plus drop-ins, or any combination that works for you. You are also welcome to write in the space if having your work witnessed serves your creative process.
