Northern Sound is the Northern Music Export Office's flagship international showcase programme that creates dedicated platforms for Northern artists at major music industry events. This is the first stage application deadline for the SXSW showcase.

Artists from the Tees Valley, West Yorkshire and North East Mayoral Strategic and Combined Authority areas.

Open to artists in United Kingdom.

What you get

Up to £10,000 to cover travel and production expenses, performance at an official NMEO-curated SXSW showcase, promotional campaign, on-the-ground support and direct matchmaking with international buyers and industry contacts.

• Demonstration of how performing on a Northern Sound stage fits into wider international release and business strategy (Export Strategy)
