What it is

The FFA funds the release of films through media services, which are advertising periods in which a cinema film can be promoted on television, radio or video-on-demand platforms. Applicants must be regularly active distribution companies that have released at least two feature films with a minimum of 35 copies each in the last 12 months (or 15 copies for documentaries, talent films and children's films). The cinema release must occur at least two weeks after the FFA's decision date. Up to 30 percent of services may be used for video first publication if providers make services available for this purpose.
