NPN: Impulse Funding Dance & Theatre

What it is

A funding model for contemporary dance and theatre projects that promote exchange between regions in Germany where these art forms lack structural support or are underrepresented. Funding supports new inter-state collaborations in four areas: residencies, artist network exchanges, research work, and event series. Projects must involve exchange between states and be completed by 31 December 2027. Applicants must contribute at least 30% of the project budget from third parties or their own funds.

Independent theatres, private theatres, city theatres, state theatres, festivals, production centres and offices, dance and theatre networks, other cultural institutions operating as presenters, individual artists, companies and collectives, and natural and legal persons based in Germany.
