CLOCKHOUSE is a literary magazine seeking original work that beckons readers to listen, share, and engage. The magazine accepts poetry, fiction, memoir, creative nonfiction, drama for stage and screen, and cover art. Translations into English are accepted if the translator has written permission from the original author. Work must be unpublished and not generated by AI. First serial rights are granted to the magazine upon acceptance; all other rights revert to the author after publication.

What you need to apply

• Poetry: up to three poems of any length, each uploaded separately; or thematic units of more than three poems submitted as one, 3 required
• Fiction flash/short fiction: up to 3 pieces of up to 750 words each, each uploaded separately, 3 required, up to 750 words
• Fiction short stories and novel excerpts: one piece, 751 to 3,500 words, double-spaced, up to 3500 words
• Memoir and creative nonfiction: one piece, up to 5,000 words, double-spaced, up to 5000 words
• Drama: up to 10 pages plus cover page with title and character breakdown
• Cover art: portrait orientation, at least 8 x 12 inches, 300 DPI minimum, jpg or jpeg format
• Author bio of approximately 100 words or less, up to 100 words
