Italian Americana publishes scholarly and creative works exploring Italian Americanness, including scholarly articles, fiction (creative nonfiction, memoir, personal essay, short story), and poetry. The journal maintains a double-blind peer review process for scholarly articles and identified peer review for creative work. Submissions are accepted year-round on a rolling basis.

For fiction: submissions must be no more than 4,000 words; for poetry: up to five unpublished poems, no poem exceeding two pages; name, address, email, and phone number must appear on every page
