What it is

Nurturing Talent is Create's 11th-year training programme supporting professional artists to develop facilitation practice in challenging community settings. The programme focuses on leadership skills, workshop planning and delivery with disadvantaged groups, aimed at growing awareness of challenges faced by marginalised groups and equipping artists with tools to facilitate meaningful workshops.

Who it is for

Professional artists (animators, dancers, drama artists, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, visual artists, writers) who want to develop facilitation skills in community settings with vulnerable people.

What you get

Free 25-day training programme from March 2027 to March 2028 in London or Manchester (5 artists in London, 1 in Manchester) including practical experience, mentorship, four training days, safeguarding and CPD training, feedback and reflective meetings, plus £1,800 bursary towards expenses.
