Year-round artist residency in Kathmandu, Nepal. Kala Yatra cultivates artistic journeys through research, mobility, collaboration, and public engagement. Artists stay in a supportive community and engage with Nepal's contemporary art scene, cultural diversity, and geography. The residency is self-funded and artist-led; residents pay a fee of €200 for two weeks or €400 for a month (€300 for SAARC country artists). Residents cover their own international travel, local travel, daily living expenses, and health insurance.
Visual artists, painters, sculptors, ceramists, printmakers, performing artists, musicians, writers, new media artists, curators, filmmakers, theater artists, architects, art critics, researchers, and other creative professionals.
