What it is

A hybrid online residency supporting five UK-based artists to develop research and proposals for systemic, transformative, sustainable futures for photography. The programme seeks innovative ideas addressing material, philosophical, political, legal, structural and technological aspects of photographic systems including darkrooms, commercial labs, galleries, universities, waste systems, and more. Five places available with two reserved for Northern England residents and two for artists with disabilities. The residency culminates in an in-person exhibition and symposium at the University of Sunderland in October 2027.
