The Camargo Foundation offers research-based residencies to artists, scholars, and thinkers. The fellowship supports advanced research, experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches in the arts and humanities. Fellows participate in a cohort-based program with mandatory resident sessions and optional public open studios. The foundation emphasizes collective spirit and interactions among fellows. Artists should have at least 5 years of professional practice and demonstrate a mature artistic voice. Scholars should hold a PhD or be PhD candidates focusing on French, Francophone, or Mediterranean cultures. Thinkers are accomplished professionals in cultural and creative fields engaged in critical thought. Teams of up to three individuals may apply. Former fellows must wait three years before reapplying.
Artists, scholars, and thinkers from any country who have maintained a professional practice and wish to conduct research-based work during a 10-week residency in France.
