Spain's 30th annual award for documentary and photojournalistic series on health, humanitarian action, international cooperation, emergencies, social exclusion, migration, refuge, armed conflict, inequality or human rights violations. Entry is anonymous with the jury assessing work without knowing the photographer's identity. Photographers submit 5 to 10 images, at least half made between 2025 and 2026. Only single-frame photographs are accepted; digital work must stay within technical correction. Photographers retain rights to their images. AI-generated work is not accepted.
Photographers aged 18 and over with a photographic series on health, humanitarian action, international cooperation, emergencies, social exclusion, migration, refuge, armed conflict, inequality or human rights violations.
Open to artists anywhere.

€12,000 in prize money (€6,000 for first place, €2,000 each for second, third and fourth place, plus €1,500 special prize), inclusion in a touring exhibition and printed catalogue, promotion by Médicos del Mundo for at least one year, and travel and two nights' accommodation to the award ceremony and exhibition opening in Madrid in January 2027.
