We-Che Art Residency | Special AIR program for BOOK project

What it is

A one to two month artist-run residency in Trevelin, Chubut, Argentina, specifically designed for artists to complete a book or art book project. The residency is half self-directed and half guided, with mentorship available. Residents have access to book arts facilities including book-binding press, sewing machine, paper cutting tools, light tables, drawing benches, easels, scanner, and printer. The location is situated on 2 hectares near the historic village of Trevelin close to Los Alerces National Park, with studios both indoors and outdoors under the trees or near the river.

What you get

Private accommodation with bedroom and bathroom, shared workspace with tools and facilities for book arts, some meals, library access, internet, utilities, airport pickup and return, and group outings; no artist stipend or travel support provided. Residency fee is 1600 USD for one month, with extra weeks at 350 USD per week.
