An artist book residency at Aviário Studio in rural Portugal. The studio offers technical conditions, workshops, equipment and accommodation to support exploration and production in the artist book field. Residencies can focus on experimentation, research or production of new work, with duration and outcomes defined by the artist's goals. The studio has disciplines in bookbinding, printmaking, digital work, screen printing, video, photography, painting, drawing, wood, metal and ceramics. Technical assistance and training are available at 20€ per hour. Accommodation is optional shared housing or self-arranged. Materials and meals are not included. The studio encourages artists to seek external funding.
Artists working with artist books who want time and space to develop, research, experiment or produce new work.
