The Japan World Exposition 1970 Commemorative Fund Grant supports projects that promote international understanding, cultural exchange and international cooperation, continuing the legacy of Expo '70. Eligible projects include international cultural exchange, international cooperation, education, academic study and eligible international conferences in basic natural sciences. Projects must demonstrate clear connection with Japan, public-interest value, international significance, realistic activities and meaningful outcomes. Projects must not be conducted as part of regular business activities, for private benefit, or solely for research purposes.
Foreign national governments, local governments, and other organisations carrying out projects that contribute to the public interest and have a meaningful connection to Japan.
Open to artists in Japan.
