Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation Project Funding

What it is

The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports exceptionally high-quality New Music projects including festivals, concerts, composition commissions, sound art, symposia, academies and educational initiatives. Projects are assessed primarily on artistic quality. Each institution may submit only one application per deadline and can receive support for a maximum of one project per calendar year. The Foundation may support a maximum of three projects over three consecutive years for biennials. The Foundation does not support marketable music productions, recordings or CDs, internal university projects, or dissertation projects.

What you get

Grant funding to support New Music projects; grants should not exceed one-third of total project costs, with grants above €50,000 awarded only in exceptional cases.

• Complete cost and financing plan covering the entire project showing all expenses and income including other grants, institutional contributions and applicant's own contribution
• Letters of intent from key ensembles, composers, musicians and co-production partners involved in the project
• Venue confirmations where applicable
