What it is

The ifa Artists Contacts programme supports international exchange and collaboration in the visual arts. It funds projects that create opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and sustainable international networks. The programme supports working visits, research trips, exhibitions, artist residencies, workshops, lectures, conferences and other international exchange initiatives. Projects must demonstrate artistic quality, have a clear collaborative or exchange-based approach, and promote dialogue, diversity, social cohesion and democratic values. Commercial projects and activities connected to art fairs or artwork sales are not eligible.

Who it is for

Visual arts artists, curators, art educators, architects, designers, photographers, media artists and cultural institutions from Germany and eligible countries in the Global South or in transition, participating in international collaborative projects.
