The International Film Festival in Guadalajara (FICG) 42nd edition calls for submissions of feature films and short films completed between 2026 and 2027 for competitive sections. Feature films must be at least 60 minutes, short films maximum 30 minutes including credits, and all must have their Mexican premiere during the festival. Multiple competitive categories exist including Mexican fiction and documentary, Iberoamerican fiction and documentary, animation, LGBTQ+ themed films, socio-environmental films, and regional Jalisco productions. Winners are selected by a committee and filmmakers must attend the festival or risk disqualification.
Film producers and directors from Mexico, Iberoamerica and other regions of the world who have completed feature films or short films.
Open to artists in Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and others.
