La Fabrique Cinéma is created by Institut français to support emerging film talent from Global South countries and facilitate access to the international market. Developed in close collaboration with the Cannes Film Festival and its Film Market, the program selects ten feature film projects in development each year. Each project is led by a director accompanied by a producer. The program offers privileged presentation to film industry professionals and decision-makers at the Cannes Film Festival to strengthen the possibilities for project realisation and international development.
Film directors and producers from Global South countries or who have lived and worked professionally in an eligible country for more than five years, applying as a team to develop their first or second feature film.
