Rouanet nas Favelas 2 is a program run in partnership between the Ministry of Culture, Vale and the Central Union of Favelas (CUFA) to finance cultural projects developed in territories classified as favelas and urban communities in Brazilian state capitals and the Federal District. Projects must take place in favela and urban community regions as classified by the 2022 IBGE Census in Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, São Luís, São Paulo and Vitória. Eligible areas include performing and visual arts, audiovisual and music, humanities and heritage, and transversal proposals including Afro-Brazilian culture, urban culture, traditional cultures and manifestations by people with disabilities.
Legal entities with or without profit motive that can demonstrate cultural nature compatible with the proposal and have headquarters in the same city where the project will be executed.
