Fulbright Visiting Scholars, Researchers, and Artists Program

What it is

The Fulbright Foundation in Greece awards grants to Greek scholars for teaching, research, career development, or institutional collaboration in the United States. Up to eight grants go to academics and researchers, and up to two grants to professional artists and cultural practitioners. Projects must demonstrate intellectual merit, promote international understanding, and have multiplier effect for sharing knowledge in the United States and upon return to Greece.

Who it is for

Greek citizens employed by academic or research institutions in Greece, including postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, and practicing artists with a master's degree who wish to conduct research, lecture, or undertake artistic projects in the United States.

What you get

Monthly maintenance allowance of up to US$4,200 for minimum 3 months, round-trip travel allowance of up to €2,000, limited accident and sickness health insurance, J-1 visa sponsorship, pre-departure orientation, certificate of completion, and access to Fulbright enrichment seminars and community membership.
