What it is

Investment program supporting performing arts tours to reach regional and remote communities across Australia. Applicants may seek funding for tour fees, salaries, production costs, touring costs, coordination, and contingency planning. Tours must have a confirmed itinerary with at least three locations, with majority (at least 60%) outside metropolitan areas. Performers and artistic personnel must be paid at award rates. Alternative touring models including residency with live performance outcomes and concept touring are supported.

What you get

Funding with no set limit for costs associated with touring to regional and remote areas of Australia, including artist fees, production costs, transport, accommodation and contingency.

What you need to apply

• Application form completed in Creative Australia application management system; registration required minimum two business days before deadline
• Confirmed touring itinerary with at least three locations
• Detailed budget with rationale for all line items
• Contingency planning and mitigation strategies for potential disruptions
• Evidence of relationships and conversations with presenting partners and communities
• Two most recent sets of audited accounts if investment request is above $250,000
• Video or sound recording of up to five minutes of the work to be toured, or recent work if production is not yet complete
• Up to five letters of support from individuals, groups, organisations, presenters or venues, submitted as a single PDF, 5 required
• Reviews of the production if applicable, maximum 3 pages as one PDF, up to 3 words
• Brief biographical information on principal personnel if applicable, maximum 3 pages as one PDF, up to 3 words
• Evidence of appropriate permissions and support from First Nations organisations, communities and Elders if activity engages with First Nations content, artists or communities
