What it is

Support for international touring and showcase activity, festival or Biennale appearances, commissioned performances, and official showcase performances by Australian contemporary music artists. Eligible costs include artist fees, travel, accommodation, visas, freight, childcare, access costs, and environmental impact reduction measures.

Who it is for

Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising contemporary music artists, including solo artists, instrumentalists, bands, ensembles, electronic artists, producers, songwriters and composers, ready to tour or perform internationally.

What you get

Matched funding of $5,000 to $75,000 for international touring and showcase activity, with the applicant providing equal or greater matched funding.

What you need to apply

• Completed application form with budget showing 50% matched funding
• Evidence of matched funding (advanced ticket sales, festival guarantees, label advance, merchandise sales, royalty payments, sync placement commitment, bank balance statement, or crowdfunding proof)
• Evidence of confirmed activity such as letters of confirmation from collaborators and venues
• Evidence of arts practice (website link, audio/video links maximum 10 minutes total, images, written material)
• Biographies and CVs for key artists, personnel or collaborators (maximum 2 A4 pages total)
• Evidence of cultural protocol adherence if activity involves First Nations artists, communities or subject matter
