What it is

The Sámi artist network Dáiddadállu has been awarded this year's Munch Award, presented annually by the Munch Museum in Oslo to artists working in the spirit of Edvard Munch's championing of artistic freedom. The prize includes a monetary award of NOK 300,000 (approximately $31,200). The award recognizes artistic achievement rather than inviting submissions.
