Rhizome Press is publishing an anthology of extreme formal poetry written in English. Extreme formalism is characterized by consistent regularity in structure, pure rhyme adhering to a clearly defined repetition scheme, meter that is consistent with only rare exceptions, and stanzas that maintain the same pattern throughout. The editor welcomes contemporary themes, surprise, humor, and radical content alongside traditional themes. Each line must begin with a capital letter. Previously published poems are acceptable.
Poets who write in English using extreme formal poetry with strict meter, pure rhyme, and consistent structure.
Open to artists anywhere.
