River Teeth is a journal of narrative nonfiction that invites submissions of creative nonfiction including narrative reportage, essays, and memoirs, as well as critical essays exploring the impact of nonfiction narrative. The journal does not have a page length or word count limit. Work must be original and not previously published, including on blogs or social media. Submissions created with generative AI are not accepted. First North American serial rights are requested. The journal particularly encourages submissions from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and disabled writers.
Writers who have created original creative nonfiction essays, memoirs, or narrative reportage that has not been previously published.
Open to artists anywhere.
