What it is

The 30th Luis Valtueña International Humanitarian Photography Award recognizes and disseminates the best images that demonstrate social inequities, injustices, human rights abuses, or situations that foster or fight them. The competition is named after Luis Valtueña, a photographer and international aid worker murdered in Rwanda in 1997, along with three other humanitarian workers.

Who it is for

Individual photographers worldwide who create work addressing social inequities, human rights abuses, humanitarian action, health, natural disasters, international cooperation, social exclusion, armed conflicts, vulnerable groups, or refugee and migrant populations.

Open to artists anywhere.
