A photography award partnered with the 2026 United Nations Water Conference. Photographers submit a titled and described portfolio of 5 to 10 images about how water shapes the world and the people who depend on it. Suggested themes include water and people, water and communities, water and planet, water and innovation, and water and challenges. Files must be JPEG of at least 5 MB with no less than 2,000 pixels on the longest edge at 300 dpi, with original RAW or unedited files submitted alongside. Phone and drone photographs are allowed; tags, signatures, frames, borders and logos are not. Basic technical editing is permitted, but advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions or manipulations (compositing and creative retouching) is prohibited. Finalists and winners grant HIPA a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and sub-licensable licence for competition and promotional use.
Photographers aged 18 or over from anywhere in the world.
Open to artists anywhere.
