Fonds Darstellende Künste: Revival funding

What it is

Artists can apply for funding to revive existing performing arts productions, supporting repeat performances, adaptations and guest performances. The grant aims to help conserve and extend the life of works already created rather than funding new productions.

Who it is for

Artists and groups of all disciplines in independent performing arts based and working in Germany who have been professionally producing for at least 2 years and have a production previously funded by Fonds Darstellende Künste.

What you get

€10,000 to €25,000 for revival and further development of a previously premiered production, with performances taking place over the funding period from May 15, 2026 to July 31, 2027.

What you need to apply

• Complete video recording of the production intended for revival
• Proof of co-financing from public funds (federal states and/or local authorities) of at least 50% of the application amount
