Audio Designer position for the musical theatre production Little Women at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, California. This is a replacement designer joining an established production team. The designer will develop the overall audio design, work with the director, music director, and production team, assess the venue's existing audio system, design and implement a system for the cast and live orchestra, coordinate wireless microphone systems, work within the $12,000 production budget, oversee installation and technical rehearsals, and provide complete audio documentation. The designer is expected onsite from load-in through opening and will hand off the production to the A1/A2 team following opening, remaining available by phone through load-out.
Audio designers with professional regional theatre, touring, or comparable musical theatre experience.
