A residency programme inviting artists and researchers to undertake creative residency in Otavalo in the north of Ecuador, located in an area within the territory of 5 indigenous peoples, to develop creative laboratory work with auto-ethnological archives. The programme promotes contemporary art and encourages artistic creation, facilitating observation, research, experimentation, documentation and exhibition of creative processes. It emphasises themes addressing identity, body, gender, memory, indigenous peoples, future-utopias, ecology and environmental crisis through creative laboratories conducted in-person and online.
Contemporary artists, researchers, curators, environmental managers and practitioners from any country who wish to undertake an artistic residency developing a body of work with an auto-ethnological archive in Otavalo, Ecuador.
Open to artists anywhere.
