The BFI National Lottery Screen Heritage Fund provides three funding streams: Project funding (accepted year-round, applicants must apply at least 16 weeks before activity start), Resilience funding (closed 31 March 2026 for the 2026-29 cycle), and Individual Skills funding (rolling applications, at least 8 weeks notice required). All funded activity must be completed by 31 March 2029. Organisations must operate a screen archive, collection network or similar with a remit to collect and preserve screen heritage collections and make them publicly accessible on a not-for-profit basis. Individual Skills applicants must be 18+, have a UK bank account, and be eligible to work in the UK.
Legally constituted organisations operating screen archives or collections that preserve and provide public access to screen heritage, and individuals currently working or intending to work in the UK screen heritage sector.
Open to artists in United Kingdom.
