The Group Leighton Studio Residency offers collaborative creative teams one to three weeks of focused, self-directed time in private purpose-built studios set in Banff Centre's forested surroundings. Groups of two to eight people working together can use the Painter House studio for brainstorming and collaboration, or duos may use the Thom or Gerin-Lajoie studios. The residency supports collaborative research, creation, exploration, and project development with flexibility to work in solitude. Groups are responsible for bringing all materials, equipment, and supplies; the residency does not include production support, technical assistance, or access to specialized facilities.
Creative teams and collaborators of two to eight people working together across writing, visual arts, criticism, and related disciplines.
Open to artists anywhere.

One to three weeks of private studio space in Banff's forested setting, accommodation on campus, some meals provided, and a Banff Centre Arts Scholarship of CAD $727.97 per week toward tuition and accommodation (or full coverage for Canadian Indigenous Arts applicants), minus participant fees of CAD $1,001.39 per week minimum.
