What it is

A self-directed, project-based residency for artists working across multiple disciplines whose work addresses food issues, farmworker issues, agroecology, Indigenous foodways, and food self-sufficiency. Artists can continue existing projects or develop new work. Participants are expected to engage in public programming, give artist talks, and may lead workshops.

Who it is for

Artists aged 23 or older whose work addresses food justice, agroecology, food sovereignty, or Indigenous foodways, or who want to create new work on these topics. Not currently enrolled in a four-year degree program.

Open to artists anywhere.

A two-week residency with private bedroom in a farmhouse or yurt on 28 acres, shared kitchen, studio access available for additional fee, and participation in a creative community; artists pay a residency fee of $1,050 to $2,030 depending on housing choice.
