Pedantic Arts brings together an artist, a curator, and a writer for a 4-week collaborative residency in Pittsburgh focused on fostering artistic connections rather than production. Participants are immersed in Pittsburgh's creative communities and participate in weekly programming including lectures, dinners, studio visits, and museum tours. Each resident is assigned a Pittsburgh-based guide in a similar field to help with connections and resources. The program is designed to re-embrace the impact of education, study, and structured contemplation on artistic output.
Visual artists, curators, and arts and culture writers aged 18 or older who are not based in Pittsburgh.
Open to artists anywhere.
