Artist residencies aboard SV Hawa as it transits the US east coast. The boat departs Charleston SC mid-June, arrives in Baltimore mid-July and stays at least a month before returning to Charleston for winter. Artists create work, network with institutions along the journey, and participate in open studios and presentations. Residency fees apply: $600 weekly, $80 daily (under 7 days), or $1800 monthly for room and board including shipboard meals. Artists must be able to physically climb ladders, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs, and must cover their own travel to relevant ports.
Artists of any medium aged 21 or older from anywhere in the world.
