Dorland Mountain Arts is a retreat near Temecula Valley Wine Country, approximately 100 miles south of Los Angeles and 60 miles north of San Diego, where artists can create in a secluded natural setting. Individual cottages feature WiFi, air conditioning, kitchen, bathroom, workspace, and covered porches with mountain and valley views. Two cottages contain Steinway and Kimball baby grand pianos. The Community Arts Center includes a library, writing desk with typewriter, meeting room, and studio with a printmaking press. The grounds feature a reflecting pond, small lake with rowboat, and hiking trails. Collaborative groups must apply and be accepted individually. Spouses and partners are allowed for full stays as non-collaborators. Pets are not allowed.
