What it is

An artist-funded 3-week residency at an international art studio in Tetouan, Morocco between the Rif Mountains and the ancient medina. Shared or private studios available with access to fully equipped common areas, weekly artist gatherings, and connections to local artists and traditional artisans. Residency includes studio space, ground transportation, some meals, laundry, cultural activities, and project consultation. Additional optional services available for extra cost.

What you get

A shared or private studio space in Tetouan, Morocco for 3 weeks, including studio facilities, some meals, arrival/departure ground transportation, weekly artist lunches, medina walking tour, artisan visit, open studios event, and community networking; artists must self-fund travel, housing, most meals, and supplies.

  • What are your reasons for wanting to participate in a residency program in Morocco?
  • What is your particular area of practice in the arts and/or research?
  • Project Proposal: How would you like to use your time at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco during your residency? What is the project or research you propose to accomplish?
  • What possible furniture, tools, materials and/or equipment do you anticipate you would need to accomplish your goals?
  • Describe what level of interest you may have in sharing your work and/or skills with the local community through a workshop or another event.
