Open submissions for four summer theater festivals featuring full-length plays and musicals by playwrights and composers from gender marginalized groups. Scripts must be at least 75% complete. Submissions are blind-reviewed to eliminate bias.

Your play or musical will be evaluated for selection to one of four summer theater festivals (SheNYC, SheLA, SheATL, SheDFW) running from June to September 2027.

What you need to apply

  • Full script in PDF form (at least 75% finished; if less finished, include a treatment of remaining scenes)
  • Completed application form with basic information
  • For musicals: recordings of at least 3 full songs in mp3 or m4a format, 3 required
  • For solo shows: video of at least 5 minutes of the solo performer performing a cut from the show
