A self-directed, project-based residency for artists working across multiple disciplines (visual arts, film, music, writing, dance, photography, and more) whose work addresses food issues, farmworker issues, agroecology, Indigenous foodways, and food self-sufficiency. Artists may continue existing projects or develop new work. Residents participate in public programming, give artist talks, and may lead workshops. The residency prioritizes proposals aligned with Pie Ranch's mission of food resilience and supports a diverse artistic community.
Artists aged 23 or older whose work addresses food justice, agroecology, food sovereignty, Indigenous foodways, or food self-sufficiency, or who wish to create new work on these topics. Not currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program.
