AIR Buinho (Portugal) – New call for 2027

What it is

Buinho is an artistic residency program in the Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, established in 2016, offering space for creative experimentation with access to a fablab, textile lab, metal workshop, and precious plastic recycling facility. The program welcomes artists of all disciplines and provides both shared and private studios, accommodation, production support, and opportunities to engage with the local community through workshops and open studio events.

Individual artists from any discipline and nationality, including visual artists, media artists, performers, sculptors, designers, photographers, writers, and researchers.
