ÖRES is an artists-run residency programme on Örö, a former military fortress island in Finland's Archipelago National Park. The programme focuses on new and experimental fields of art, art-science collaborations and interdisciplinary projects. The residency works on a self-service, retreat-like basis with remote support. Selected artists must pay a 100 euro refundable deposit and are required to submit an online report after the residency. Artists may also participate in summer exhibitions and other exhibition opportunities arranged by the programme.
Visual artists, media artists, video and sound artists, bio art practitioners, experimental artists, writers, dancers, curators, and researchers in humanities and social sciences with critical interdisciplinary approaches; also organisations in art, culture and research fields.
Open to artists anywhere.
