The Lemonwood Quarterly seeks English-language short stories between 2,000 and 10,000 words. Stories with female protagonists over thirty years old are especially sought. Coming-of-age stories are not wanted. Ten stories will be selected for publication in the Fall 2026 issue.
Writers from any gender, age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and nationality who have written unpublished English-language short stories.
Open to artists anywhere.
