What it is

The CBSO Orchestral Residency is a programme designed to support young musicians to take the next steps towards a professional orchestral career. Participants will rehearse and perform alongside one of Europe's leading symphony orchestras, directed by inspiring conductors. The programme combines music-making, networking, mentoring, and professional development, giving musicians real insight into the life of a modern orchestral player. The 2027 programme will feature Strauss's Eine Alpinesinfonie and Clyne's PALETTE, conducted by Kazuki Yamada.

Who it is for

Advanced timpani and percussion players aged 21 to 25 who are aspiring to a professional orchestral career and currently living in the UK, including international students studying in the UK.
