What it is

The CBSO Orchestral Residency is a programme for young musicians to take the next steps towards a professional orchestral career. It offers an intensive residential week in July 2027 to rehearse and perform alongside one of Europe's leading symphony orchestras, directed by inspiring conductors. The programme combines music-making, networking, mentoring and professional development, giving musicians real insight into the life of a modern orchestral player. The 2027 residency will feature conducting by Kazuki Yamada and performances of works by Strauss and Clyne.

Who it is for

Advanced bass trombonists aged 21 to 25 currently living in the UK, including international students studying there, who aspire to a professional orchestral career.
