What it is

The CBSO Orchestral Residency is a programme for young musicians to take the next steps towards a professional orchestral career. Participants will rehearse and perform alongside one of Europe's leading symphony orchestras, directed by inspiring conductors. The intensive residential week in July includes music-making, networking, mentoring and professional development. The 2027 edition will feature Strauss's Eine Alpinesinfonie and Clyne's PALETTE, conducted by Kazuki Yamada.

Who it is for

Advanced bassoon and contrabassoon players aged 21 to 25 who are aspiring to a professional orchestral career and currently living in the UK.
